Today marks the 21st Anniversary of the tragic death of NASCAR superstar Dale Earnhardt Sr. on the last lap of the Daytona 500 on February 18, 2001. To celebrate his life and the legacy he left behind for fans like me, Explore Carolina Racing spent Valentine’s Day evening this year, February 14, 2022, visiting the “Dale Earnhardt Tribute Plaza” in Kannpolis, North Carolina.
So many smarter people than me who actually knew Dale Earnhardt Sr., like his son Dale Earnhardt Jr., have and continue to say the things that need to be said on tragic calendar anniversaries like these.
