THANK YOU NOTE: NASCAR Special Message To Fans Received & Replied To
Dear NASCAR President Steve Phelps, Fans Hear Ya!
This morning NASCAR fans were greeted with an electronically mailed statement from NASCAR President Steve Phelps that ribbon-cut NASCAR’s new Next Gen era of racing to start the 2022 stock car racing season.
Highlights of NASCAR’s Special Message to fans include talk of “best-in-class racing” and a “dynamic schedule”, but more importantly Mr. Phelps speaks directly to NASCAR fans to get everyone hyped. My favorite section was the shout out to “hosting you and your families at our races this season and [we] hope to create fun and memorable experiences that will last a lifetime.” Absolutely true. Attending a NASCAR race weekend is often filled with multiple sensations and stimulations, so it’s great to hear that NASCAR has its head in the game.
My favorite line in the letter is the hope from NASCAR that fans “enjoy the unpredictable thrill ride that is sure to be the 2022 race season.” Unpredictable thrill ride indeed. Buckled up already, Mr. Phelps, I, like millions of NASCAR fans, are surely looking forward to the pre-season NASCAR race at the historic L.A. Memorial Coliseum this evening that reportedly includes a prerace Pit Bull concert and a “halftime” performance by L.A. native Ice Cube under the 1932 Olympic Summer Games cauldron torches.
The Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum is billed as a 150-lap shoot out with a $1.9 million purse for race winners. For a more detailed explanation of the event’s happenings, check out this event preview from the Charolette Observer. Heat races just finished at the “quarter-mile short bullring” as former NASCAR driver Clint Boyer keeps saying during the NASCAR on Fox television broadcast. The second chance qualifiers are next.
What a unique and interesting show thus far with much more fireworks to come.
On behalf of NASCAR fans everywhere, thank you Mr. Phelps and NASCAR for your continued efforts making NASCAR possible. We just know the Busch Light Clash tonight will be awesome regardless of which driver is lucky enough to win!!
